Golden Palace supports an eco-focused match in Thonon-les-Bains

On April 25, 2026, Thonon Évian Grand Genève FC faced FC Sochaux-Montbéliard in a match dedicated to the ecological transition of the Lake Geneva region. As a partner of the club, Golden Palace joined this event, which combined sport, environmental awareness and fan experience in a collective, locally rooted initiative.

An immersive experience around environmental challenges

Supporters were immersed in a pre-match setup designed to raise awareness of environmental issues and showcase local initiatives. The entire experience highlighted regional challenges through interactive and accessible formats.

This included educational content presented as quizzes, as well as a spotlight on local stakeholders and artisans from the Lake Geneva area. A tree-lined walkway structured the space, adding a strong symbolic dimension to the welcome experience.

"Green Penalty Shootout", a unifying highlight

Half-time was marked by the eco-challenge "Green Penalty Shootout". The concept was simple: supporters were invited to take a shot on goal, with each successful attempt symbolically linked to the planting of a tree. As the attempts unfolded, the activity brought the crowd together around a shared goal, giving this moment of the match a strong collective and meaningful dimension.

In total, 33 trees will be symbolically planted thanks to the supporters' participation, illustrating the tangible impact of this initiative.

A partnership driving local impact initiatives

Through this themed match, Golden Palace and the club demonstrate their shared ambition to develop initiatives that go beyond sport, integrating societal challenges into the fan experience.

This type of initiative reflects the evolution of sporting events, which are increasingly becoming platforms for awareness and local engagement. For Golden Palace, it is about supporting concrete projects rooted in local realities and delivering real impact.
