Eco-citizen Day 2026: a committed day in Boulogne-sur-Mer

In Boulogne-sur-Mer, Golden Palace organised a new edition of its Eco-citizen Day, bringing together employees and participants around a shared goal: taking concrete action for the local environment. Combining waste collection along the coastline with an immersion in nature, the day blended awareness, field action and discovery of the local area. The day began with breakfast at Café Proqua, a local coffee roaster from Boulogne-sur-Mer, attended by company employees who shared this first moment together before the activities began.

A collective effort along the Boulogne coastline

The morning then focused on a waste collection operation on the beach of Boulogne-sur-Mer. Employees and participants mobilised for several hours to make a concrete contribution to preserving the coastline and its environment. Beyond the civic gesture itself, this action also highlighted the importance of collective actions in protecting the natural spaces that are part of everyday life.

A guided walk in the heart of nature

After a meal at the Casino Golden Palace Boulogne-sur-Mer, the participants continued the day with a guided walk in the La Capelle forest. This immersion in nature offered a different way to discover the local natural heritage while continuing conversations in a new setting. Transportation to the walking location was provided by Marinéo, the public transport network of Boulogne-sur-Mer, thanks to the use of an electric bus, in line with the spirit of the day and the themes addressed.

An long-term initiative

Through this new edition, Golden Palace continues its commitment to local initiatives, combining awareness, concrete action and discovery of the local area. It's a way to bring employees and participants together around a shared goal, while highlighting the natural richness of the Boulogne-sur-Mer region.
