A second life for our computer equipment
Last Wednesday, Golden Palace donated no less than 2 laptops and 15 desktop PCs, complete with screens and keyboards, to BruRec, a subsidiary of the non-profit organization TIC Harmony. As this equipment is no longer used by our employees, it was important for us to give a second life to it by making it available to a local association.
BruRec is a computer equipment collection service for businesses, which contributes to sustainable development by recycling and reusing used equipment. The non-profit organization will then either resell the reconditioned computer at an affordable price to the underprivileged or lend it to Brussels schools or associations. In addition to this, the non-profit organization offers a socio-professional dimension, providing low-skilled people with training and employment opportunities in the field of computer hardware refurbishment.
This action enables Golden Palace to make a further commitment to sustainable development by encouraging the reuse of computer equipment that the company no longer needs. Thanks to this donation, people in need will have the opportunity to have access to IT resources that have become almost indispensable in today's world.
It's a second life for our equipment, which is certainly now in good hands!
